30 Day Drawing ChallengeDay Thirty:  A Congrats Banner for Finishing the Challenge Ohmygosh.  It’s over.  It’s the end of June!  That’s pretty crazy.  I could’ve done a lot better, but I think this was a good way to motivate me to sketch more.  I’ll miss you, 30 Day Drawing Challenge!! 30 Day Drawing ChallengeDay Twenty-Eight:  Anything You’d Like Tired.  ;_;  I’ve been falling asleep in places I shouldn’t be, which is really terrible.  I got home today, trudged up to my room, and ended up falling asleep at the top of the stairs.  Like.  On the floor.  Just laid there.  ;_; I should practice more anatomy. 30 Day Drawing Challenge
Day Twenty-Two:  Something You Miss

So I’m going to embarrass myself and post some of my old piano playing, ha ha.  It’s the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 5, Op. 10 No. 1.

I miss music!  I used to be pretty hardcore about piano, but then I went to college and haven’t had time, I guess.  Excitingly enough, the hospice I volunteer at has a piano (an adorable upright) and I played around on it today.  Surprisingly enough, people liked it!  I had forgotten how much people enjoy live music, even if it’s just me sightreading songs from Broadway, lol.  Music - art in general, I guess! - can really touch people.  So now I’m going to go there to play for an hour or so, once or twice a week, and it just makes me so happy.

And please, instead of suffering through my playing, listen to these instead.

30 Day Drawing ChallengeDay Twenty-One:  Something You Want I’m actually at this point in my life where I’m really content with what I have.  I feel very blessed, and I don’t really want anything material.  Whatever else I want, I can work towards.  So…hugs?  Hugs are great.  And someone really needs to invent how to give hugs over the internet, like for real.  For now, just pretend I’m giving you a hug.  Sure, hug your computer.  I’m hugging mine right now.  Feel that lovely warmth?  :) (Or actually, that’s probably my laptop overheating again.  ;_;) Check out other people who are participating!asunchild, perihare

I don’t know what flower this is, I was trying to draw honeysuckles, but then I remembered that I can’t draw plants.  So I played around with brushes instead and ended up with this, which kind of looks like the x-ray photographs of flowers, which I think are really beautiful.
